Excel Pro Series wheel sets were developed in America, for use in the most extreme conditions with some of the fastest riders in supercross and desert racing. Excel in Japan had seen that their high quality rims were being damaged because the standard and aftermarket hubs were not strong enough. Excel bosses in Japan insisted that FTM enterprises (USA) should help them develop the highest quality wheel system in the world, a wheel system that would represent Excel as the #1 wheel producing company as well as the #1 rim producing company.
